Shared Product Values

This page gives a compact product-facing meaning for the most important shared values and states.

Role matrix

Role What it usually means in the product Typical boundary
user works with monitoring views and assigned tenant scope no broad admin changes
manager broader operational changes in allowed areas still not company-wide administration
admin company-level control over users, settings, notifications, and operations not platform-global
superadmin platform-wide administration and deeper operational control should be used deliberately

Visibility matrix

Visibility mode What users feel in practice
broad company visibility many tenants and routes are visible inside the allowed company scope
tag-limited visibility only tagged subset is visible
focused UI the user experience is intentionally narrowed further

Sensitive data matrix

Signal What it means in practice
payload is visible the user may inspect message body details
payload is masked the message exists, but body content stays protected
custom headers are masked message context is visible, but sensitive header values stay hidden

Alert state matrix

State Product-facing meaning Typical next action
alerted the issue is currently open review or acknowledge
acknowledged someone took ownership continue work and monitor outcome
outdated an older alert row was superseded usually read as history

Archive lifecycle matrix

State or signal Product-facing meaning
archive row is downloadable historical data is still available
archive row exists but file is gone metadata remains, file content does not
retention pressure is rising cleanup or archive policy should be reviewed

Access-state matrix

State Meaning for operations
invited the person was created but is not fully active yet
active normal usable account state
expired access or invitation validity has lapsed
disabled the account is intentionally not active

AI and LLM relevance

AI-supported features should be read together with scope and masking:

  • visible row does not always mean visible sensitive content
  • tenant-level sensitivity and company scope still apply
  • masked data is protected data, not automatically missing data

Good rule of thumb

If a value changes who can see something, whether content is masked, or whether data is still downloadable, it usually belongs both to product behavior and to security-aware operations.
